  50.     VStation is a linear (read: VCR) edit control system
  51.     that compatible with a large number (over 100) of consumer
  52.     VCRs and camcorders, as well as RS-422 high end equipment.
  53.     The control hardware is connected to the computer via RS-232.
  54.     Developer information is included with the package if you
  55.     wish to adapt the system to work with other platforms.
  56.     The hardware is capable of controlling three VTRs at a time,
  57.     but you may connect fewer if desired. The AREXX port provides
  58.     over 100 functions and access to all relevant internal
  59.     variables for easy integration into the Amiga environment.
  60.     NTSC/PAL/SECAM are supported. SMPTE timecode reader option is
  61.     available.

  65.     Version 2.x of the VStation software (formerly called EditLink)
  66.     is a nearly complete rewrite with an easy to learn interface
  67.     with online help, edit point auto calculation, multi-tape
  68.     EDL autoassembly, convienient tapelog<->editpoint features,
  69.     event-specific ARexx command hooks, support for Toaster
  70.     effects, framestores, and CGs. And many other new features.

  72. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  74.     Edit compatible VCRs using RS-422, Panasonic 5-pin, or
  75.     Sony Control-L edit control protocols. Over 100 vcrs
  76.     and camcorders using the Panasonic 5-pin and Sony
  77.     Control-L protocols have been tested.
  78.     If using RS-422 with internal timecode readers, then the
  79.     SMPTE reader option is not needed.
